Harold N. Toson, 83 of Oshkosh died Monday September 22, 2008 at his home. He was born in Des Moines, IA on January 2, 1925. He married the love of his life, Marilyn Missing on August 16, 1947.Harold was a member of the St. Paul United Church; a member of the American Legion Cook-Fuller Post 70; Oshkosh Masonic Lodge No. 27 and was Worshipful Master in 1984; Oshkosh Chapter, Council, and Commandry and was head of each organization. He had been owner and operator of Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh, and was a part owner of Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee. He had been the president of the National Cremation Association in 1979. He had served his country in World War II in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1943-1946. He enjoyed sports, especially, racquetball, golf, bowling and hunting.He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Toson of Oshkosh; two sons, John (Sandra) Toson, and Kenneth (Cheryl) Toson; four grandchildren, Gina, Ken Jr., Nina, and Peter; one great grandchild, Zane; a brother, Robert Toson; cousins, Nancy Ludwig of St. Paul, MN, and James Neel of Reading, PA; good friend and brother-in-law, Richard (Shirley) Missing; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.Harolds memorial service will be Friday September 26, 2008 at 1:00 PM at St. Pauls United Church of Christ with Rev. Brian Tokoph officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Pauls United Church of Christ Sustaining Fund or to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.A special thank you to Dr. Karen Gremminger, Affinity Hospice, and to all their staff.
