Harold O. Boettcher

Harold O. Boettcher, 83, of Oshkosh, died at his residence on Friday, July 8, 2011. He was born December 19, 1927 in Tomah, WI a son of Otto and Amelia Gehrke Boettcher. Harold married Arlene M. Arentz on Nov. 17, 1948 in Sparta and she preceded him in death on March 31, 1999. He then married Edie Pratt Tomasko. Harold went to The Little Red Schoolhouse in Tomah and graduated from Tomah High School. He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. He worked at Winnebago Mental Health Institute for 36 years and also part-time at Rasmussens Apple Acres. Harold enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, gardening, bowling, and camping. He is survived by his 2nd wife Edie of Oshkosh; three daughters Sheila (Robert) Langkau of Oshkosh, Jenny (Joe) Jungwirth of Princeton, and Christine (Gary) Schaefer of Oshkosh; a son Steven Boettcher of Neenah; a sister Helen McFadden of Arizona; two step-daughters Pauline Schultz (fianc Tom Hughes) of Waupaca and Cathleen Tomasko of New Holstein; three step-sons Dan Tomasko (fiance Anita) of Colorado, Ron Tomasko of Oshkosh, and Tony (Lisa) Tomasko of Oshkosh; eight grandchildren, Stacy (Todd) Voight, Kelly (Chris) Knudsen, Julie (Nate) Haen, Emily (Craig) Lehman, Joe (Melanie) Jungwirth, Janna (Jeff) Roby, Chad (Missy) Boettcher, and Jessica Boettcher; step-grandchildren, Daniel Tomasko, Madison Tomasko, Matt Frerichs, Jarold Jarquart, and Dane Tomasko; twelve great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Sydney, Michael, Lydia, Aiden, Lucas, Alexis, Kyle, Kaitlin, Mason, Gavin, and Lilly; and one step-great-grandchild, Alyssa. He was preceded in death by his parents Otto & Amelia Boettcher; his in-laws Joe and Palma Arentz; and a sister Marge Hendrickson. A funeral service for Harold will be held Tuesday July 12, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the Lake Pointe Dr. funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the service. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
