Harold R. Steineke, 77, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday September 9, 2015 at Omro Care Center. He was born on December 28, 1937 in Oshkosh a son of Robert and Vilah Jameson Steineke. On May 23, 1964 he married Karen Last in Oshkosh.He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1955 and was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of First Congregational Church. Harold has been an active Mason in Masonic Lodge #27 F.& A.M. since the age of 21 and held many honorary positions, he was also a long time member of the Winnebagoland Shrine Club. He was past master of Oshkosh Centinnel Lodge #205, Past member of Tyrian Chapter # 15, Oshkosh Council # 8, Oshkosh Commandery #11, Past Monarch of Oshkosh Groto, Member K.Y.C.H., member Holy Royal Arch Knight Templer Priest, member Tripoli Shrine. He enjoyed boating, baseball, especially watching the Cubs, helping people in need, volunteering at and attending the EAA fly-ins, spending time with people, helping people and making them laugh, travelling to Hawaii, dancing, and antique cars. He was always thinking of his next business idea. Harold was President and owner of Wisconsin Instrument & Control, he had also worked for the Winnebago County Sheriffs Department, was a security guard for a number of years and was a licensed PI.He is survived by his wife Karen, his children Michael(Sarah), Andrew(Kristina), Andrea(Steve) Koepsel, Adam(Patricia), Justin, seven grandchildren Teagan, Grant, Warren, Flynn, Grace, Elizabeth, Dinara, one brother Doug Steineke, two sisters Geraldine Dixie Miller, Phyllis(Charles) Schilling.He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 15, 2015 at 1 p.m at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside with Rev. Andi Wolf officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11 am until the time of the service. Entombment will be held at Lake View Memorial Park where military honors will be held. A Masonic service will be held just prior to the funeral service.In lieu of flowers the family will be making a donation to the Shriners Childrens Hospital.The family would like to thank Dr. Kaiser and the nurses and staff on 2 West at Aurora Medical Center- Oshkosh and the Omro Care Center.When Harold started selling heating he liked to say, Instead of giving people heat and making enemies, now I sell heat and make friends
