Harold William Gerou

Harold Hal W. Gerou, age 90, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2016 at Lakeshore Manor. Harold was born to the late Peter and Vera Gerou on February 15, 1926 in Forsyth,MI. After graduating from high school, Harold joined the navy in 1944. Following his service, he married Mary Corrigan on June 21, 1947 in Racine, together they had three children. He spent his career of 35 years in the retail business. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and home remodeling.He is survived by his two children, Chris(Jodi) Gerou and Cheryl(Loyal) Berg; four grandchildren, Kristen(Matt) Footit, Keri(Jason) Hammen, Ryan Mischnick, and Ross Mischnick. Harold is further survived by six great-grandchildren; Carter Footit, Megan Footit, Kennedy Footit, Caden Hammen, Hailey Hammen, and Gavin Hammen.Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary; daughter, Cindy (Scott) Mischnick; grandson Cory Gerou; and special friend Germaine Binder.A memorial service for Harold will be held at 11:30AM on Friday May 13, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr Oshkosh, WI). A visitation will be from 11:00AM until the time of service.
