Harriet A. Wilkum, of Oshkosh, age 76, died on Tuesday September 16, 2014. She was born on November 2, 1937 in St. Louis, MO. the daughter of Harry and Ann Hunt Thomas. She married Roger Wilkum in Oshkosh.She was employed by Kleins Department Store, Consolidated Stations and the Lemberger Co. Harriet never forgot childhood visits to her grandparents farm, and the animals and the outdoors she learned there. All her life Harriet unconditionally loved her dogs, cats, and horses and her time outdoors, such as planting flowers all around her yard, camping and walking and spotting wild animals, picking strawberries and wild asparagus in the spring, planting a large vegetable garden and then cooking and preserving the bounty.She is survived by her husband Roger, one son David(Paula) Wilkum of Oshkosh, one daughter Diane(Tom Balliett) Welsh of Brooklyn, NY, one grandchild Brendan Welsh- Balliett.She was preceded in death by her parents.Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.The family would like to thank the staff at Century Oaks-Waterford and the staff of Generations Hospice.
