Harriet Erna Fiebig

Harriet Erna Fiebig, 95, Oshkosh, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in Tempe, AZ at Westchester Care Center during her 36th winter as a snowbird. She was born March 20, 1915 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to the late Julius and Alma (Mielke) Dreger. Her beloved sister, Luella Salzieder, 98, died recently on October 30, 2010.Harriet graduated from Trinity Lutheran School and Oshkosh High School. She married Carl Fiebig, who preceded her in death in 1996. Together, Harriet and Carl owned and managed Carls Beer Depot on Bowen Street for many years. Harriet retired from AT&T in 1974, after twenty-five years of employment.Erna is survived by her partner, Edward Kuemmerlein, Winneconne, WI; daughter, Kathryn Baughn (John) of Irvine, CA; and sons, Kurt Fiebig (Janet), Chandler, AZ, and Thomas Fiebig (Frances Jones), Seattle, WA; dearest niece, Judy Slamp, Green Bay, WI; grandchildren, Kurt Van Ness (Charlene), Chad Van Ness (Amy), Keith Fiebig, Jennifer Fiebig Douglas, Maija Fiebig, and Erika Fiebig. She especially delighted in her eight great-grandchildren, Joshua, Nathaniel, Owen, Ella, Simon, Molly, Ethan, and Claire; and great-nieces, Amy and Kim Slamp.Friends and family are invited to the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Eastside for visitation on Thursday, December 30, 9:00 - 11:30 AM, followed immediately by a memorial service at the funeral home, with a luncheon to follow at the Roxy. A private burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh, WI.
