Harry F. Madaus

Harry F. Madaus, age 92, of Oshkosh passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at his home. He was born November 8, 1923 in the Town of Black Wolf, the son of the late Arthur and Anna (Schwebke) Madaus. Harry proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. He was united in marriage to Beatrice Dillman on June 18, 1949 and the couple made their home in Oshkosh. Harry worked for many years at the Universal Foundry and retired in 1985 from the Guernsey Dairy.Harry is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beatrice, two daughters, Sherry (William) Busching of Appleton and Jody (Jeffrey) Grove of Mukwonago; three grandchildren: Alexandra Busching, Cory (Kristen) and Kent (Rachel) Grove; five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Hilda (William) Boushelle and Arlene (Wayne) Miller; one brother-in-law, Clyde A. Dillman; two sisters-in-law, Audrey Hakalmazian and Beverly Culich and further survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends. He is preceded in death by one sister, Lucille (Greg) Spanbauer, three brothers: infant Herbert, Edwin (Margaret) and Norman (Beverly) Madaus; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Thomas and Robert Culich, one sister-in-law Judy Dillman and parents-in-law, Henry Dillman and Nina (Joseph) Thomas.Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, with Pastor Timothy Greenwald officiating. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established in Harrys name.Harrys family wishes to thank the Ministry/Affinity Hospice, for taking so much loving care of Harry and his family especially his wonderful caregivers, Phil, Ryan, Kristen and Melissa. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
