Heidemarie Greeninger

Heidemarie Martha Greeninger of Oshkosh, Wl age 64, died after a 4 year courageous battle with cancer. Our sweet angel Heidemarie passed away on Thursday July 24, 2008. Heide was born March 12th 1944 to Anna & Ludwig Engelmann in Unteralba East Germany. Heide and her family came to the U.S. when she was a teenager. She graduated in 1965 from Evangelical Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing Milwaukee, Wl. Her 41 year career as a Registered Nurse began at Deaconess Hospital. When Heide wasnt working she enjoyed time with her family, bird watching with her husband, gardening, coaching soccer, photography, knitting, sewing, ceramics, and her favorite pastime... taking care of her grandkids.Heide is survived by her husband of 33 years Dennis C Greeninger, her mother, Anna Engelmann, her children, Kristine (Rob) Lange, Brian Olson, Lisa(Corey) Kasuboski, grandchildren Cole, Carson, & Jack, her step children Paul(Jennifer) Greeninger, Peter (Suzy) Greeninger, Diane (Tom) Johannes, and eight step grandchildren, her brother, Gunther (Mary) Engelmann, her sister Karin(Jim) Marshall, her niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ludwig Engelmann.A special thank you to Aurora Hospice, St. Raphaels, Dr. Blaha, and all the wonderful nurses at Aurora Hospital.Heidemarie was truly a gentle soul who touched everyone she met through love, friendship, or care.In the words of Heidemarie, Ever since I can remember, I wanted to become a nurse. The reason for this is because I like to be with other people, take care of them when they are sick, give my help and understanding when it is needed. To me nursing is a very important career; it gives me a good feeling to see other people feel better through my helpWe will miss you Mommy..... Its time for me to go KiddoA Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church (830 S Westhaven Drive –Oshkosh) at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. to the Mass. Interment will be at Peace Lutheran Cemetery
