Helen L. Juedes

Helen L. Juedes, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. She was born on July 8, 1949, to the late Norman Sr. and Geraldine (Jewson) Boese in Oshkosh. Helen was united in marriage to Val Juedes on November 22, 1971 at Christ Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.

Helen loved her family and especially her grandkids.  In her eyes her grandkids could do no wrong.  Anyone who knew her, knew her sarcastic sense of humor (and Helen-isms).  Which will still live on in her grandchildren. 

Her other loves are McDonald’s, playing cards, games, puzzles, and crafting.  Did we mention McDonald’s?  She was also a person who found an opportunity to get a game in.  She played by “Juedes” rules, which usually ended in her favor.  If you needed to remember how to play a game, she should have been your lifeline. 

Helen had a passion for caring for the elderly.  She cherished the stories with each person she met along the way.  It came easy to her to make connections and build relationships.

She led a simple but fulfilled life.  There’s already an emptiness where her presence was.  We miss her already.

Helen is survived by her husband of 50 years, Val Juedes; daughters: Tina (Paul) Tollard, Samantha (Jesse) Garrow; grandchildren: Morgan Tollard, Grace Tollard, Emma Tollard, Delaney Garrow, Madalyn Garrow, Wyatt Tollard; brothers: Marvin (Darlene) Boese, Greg (Ann) Boese; sisters: Pamala (Mark) Juedes, Laura Boese; sisters-in-law: Julie, Jackie, Joan, Julie, and Betty Boese; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was further preceded in death by her brothers: Richard, Robert, Roger, Royal, Norman Jr., Bradley, Andrew, and Clifford.

A memorial service for Helen will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh with Rev. Mary Bauer officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Innichement will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
