Helen M. Peppler, 88 of Oshkosh, died Saturday February 14, 2009 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born in Fond du Lac, WI on December 24, 1920 daughter of Otto and Clara Zimmerman Dehn. On June 16, 1939 she married Harold Peppler. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1983.Helen was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. She had been employed by the Victralyte Candle Co. and at the Propson Pharmacy Annex. Family was very important to Helen and she especially loved spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For years she made afghans, embroidered towels, pillow cases and various other items to give to her loved ones. During her stay at Park View Health Center, she enjoyed many visitors and always looked forward to spending time with her sister, Arlene and sister-in-law, Rita Dehn.Helen is survived by her sons, Ronald (Raeburn) Peppler of Neenah, WI, and Gary (Linda) Peppler of Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Pamela (Corey) McSweeney, Kimberly (Doug) Van Siclen, Jason (Laura) Peppler all of Minnesota, and Jennifer Pankow of Oshkosh; eleven great-grandchildren, Sean and Kathleen McSweeney, Clayton, Harison and Olivia Van Siclen, Nicholas, Ashlyn and Peyton Peppler all of Minnesota, Vaughan and Noah Larsen, and Samuel Pankow all of Oshkosh; a sister, Arlene Augsburger of Oshkosh; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a baby sister, a brother, Milton Dehn and a great grandson Colm McSweeney. Helens funeral service will be Friday February 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Nancy Krueger officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside on Thursday from 4-8 PM and at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.Helens family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate and caring ICU staff at Aurora Medical Center and to the Aurora VNA Hospice.
