Herbert O. Tesch

Herbert O. Tesch, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. He was born in Oshkosh on October 19, 1943, to the late Ervin and Caroline (Lechner) Tesch. Herbert was united in marriage to Karen Weitz on August 19, 1976, in Oshkosh.

Herbert was in the United States Army from 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1964. He worked as a lineman for 35 years at WI Public Service. Herbert enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers, playing golf with his friends, woodworking, and traveling. He was an avid gardener and took wonderful care of his lawn. Most of all, Herbert loved spending time with his family and friends.

Herbert is survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen Tesch; sons: Rick (Dawn) Tesch, Mark Zellmer; grandchildren: Jacob (Ellyn) Neubauer, Mariah (Fiancé, Joey), Alyah (Fiancé, Kevon), Jenna and Rebekah Tesch, Autumn Zellmer, Hallie (Jordan) Kuhn; great grandchildren: Brooks, Owen, Stetson; brother, Larry (Karen) Tesch; brother-in-law: Dale (Sandra) Weitz; and sister-in-law, Ellen Weitz. He was further preceded in death by his son, Jasen Zellmer; daughter, Sue Kerrigin; grandchildren: Gabriel Kerrigin, Tyler Zellmer; son-in-law, Christopher McConnell; brothers: Ervin Tesch Jr, Gary (Terry) Tesch; and brother-in-law: William Weitz Jr.

A time of visitation for Herbert will take place at 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. He will be laid to rest at Ellenwood Cemetery in Oshkosh.
