Howard Clayton Durkee

Howard C. Durkee Sr., age 84, passed away on Saturday December 15, 2018 at his residence surrounded by loved ones. He was born on August 4, 1934 in Oshkosh a son of Cecil H. and Leona Durkee who preceded him in death. In 1973 he married Delores in Oshkosh who also preceded him in death on October 13, 2018.
Howard was a 1952 graduate of Oshkosh High School and had worked at Mondl’s, American Excelsior, Consolidated Stations and retired from Rockwell International after 34 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and was a caretaker of feathered friends.
He is survived by his children Ginny, Maggie, Debbie, Ann (Steve), Howie Joe (Mindy), and Mike, 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and two brothers Marty and Harlan. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and daughter Carla.
A memorial service for Howard will be held on Friday December 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside with Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oshkosh Boys and Girls Club or Oshkosh K9 Unit would be appreciated.
