Ione M. Fahley

Ione M. Fahley, age 89, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Park View Health Center in Oshkosh. She was born on October 22, 1925, in Oshkosh, the daughter of the late Henry A. and Charlotte L. (Seiwert) Friedrich. She married Earl L. Fahley on February 24, 1945, at Saint Peters Roman Catholic Church in Oshkosh. They were married 70 years.Mrs. Fahley lived her entire life in Oshkosh and was a graduate of South Park Elementary School. She spent several years working at Oshkosh BGosh Company and then became a full time housewife. When the children were older, she obtained part time work at various manufacturing companies. Surviving Ione are her husband, Earl and five children; Lawerence (Barbara) in Bayonne, NJ, Michael (Diane) in Minneapolis, MN, Theresa (Wayne) Hart in Boise, ID, Timothy (Kathy) and Jeanmarie Lofton both of Oshkosh. She has 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Roydon Fahley and a sister-in-law, Veronica Fahley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harold Bud Friedrich; brothers-in-law, Gordon and Harold Fahley; sisters-in-law, Sharon Fahley and Theresa Fahley.Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Most Blessed Sacrament, St. Mary site, 605 Merritt Ave., with Father Jim Jungenheimer officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Private interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.The family wishes to thank the Woodside 2 staff at Parkview for the excellent care they provided to Ione.
