Iris E Sorenson

Iris E. Sorenson, age 91, of Neenah, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Valley VNA in Neenah, where she resided for the past 3 years. Iris was born on December 17, 1919 in Montana, a daughter of the late George W. and Mabel (Young) Linger. On July 2, 1962 she married Richard Drexler in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death in 1967. Iris married Robert J. Sorenson on October 14, 1972 in Fond du Lac. Robert preceded her in death on March 28, 1996.Iris retired from Morgan Products in Oshkosh after 40 years of employment and had loved reading, arranging flowers and traveling. She had been a long time member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Oshkosh. Iris loved her home at Valley VNA in Neenah, and she treasured the love shared with her by her caregivers, with a special love and appreciation for Dr. Radhika Raj and Laura, and Dr. Kenneth Geller, with Affinity Medical Group, and Affinity Hospice.Iris is survived by her brother, Forrest (Lois) Linger of Markesan, her dear friends, Elaine Janke, Oshkosh, and Patricia Laemmrich, Neenah, her nephew, Pastor David (Pam) Sorenson, Duluth, MN, and other nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husbands, and her sister, Fern (Dean) Graves.A funeral service for Iris will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside, the Rev. David Sorenson officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 AM to the time of service. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park.
