Irma Ella Miller

Irma E. Miller, 95, Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late John and Flora (Engel) Reimer born on August 21, 1920. Irma was united in marriage to Vincent Miller on August 30, 1941. Their marriage was blessed with three children. In 1958 Irma started working for St. Marys Catholic School Lunch Program, she later transferred to Oshkosh High School, retiring from Oshkosh North. Irma enjoyed knitting, cooking, playing cards and gardening. She was a member of the Ladies Society. She also enjoyed doing volunteer work at St. Vincent DePaul. She always treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. Irma is survived by her son: David (Mary) Miller, of Sherwood; daughters: Carol (Bruce) Gayhart, of Oshkosh and Ellen (Kevin) Hess, of Waunakee; grandchildren: Mark and Daniel Miller, Amy (Michael) Romanesko, Matthew Miller, Brian (Casey) Gayhart, Barry Gayhart and Rachael Hess; great grandchildren: Kayla, Ryan and Andy Miller, Timmy, Joey and Henry Romanesko, Max, Nova, Vince and Lily Gayhart and one on the way. Irma was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent who preceded her in 1999; one grandson, Stephen Hess; brothers: Harold, Harvey and Irwin Engel.Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 605 Merritt Ave, with Father Jim Jugenheimer officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.Memorials may be directed to Affinity Visiting Nurses Hospice and St. Vincent DePaul.The family would like to extend a thank you to the nurses with Affinity Hospice and all the staff at Northpoint for all their patience and kindness given to Irma and the family during her stay.
