Jack L. Jake Williams, 88, of Oshkosh passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2015. He was born June 19, 1926, to the late Marshall and Martha (Marin) Williams. He married Donna Jeske on August 3, 1963. She preceded him in death on October 20, 2014.Jake served in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII. He worked at Medalist Industries until his retirement in 1991. He was an avid bowler and golfer. In his younger days he played for and managed several softball teams in the city. One of his greatest days of his life was his trip to Washington DC on an Old Glory Honor Flight in 2013.Jake is survived by his son, Lee (Darlene) Williams; step-daughters, Patricia Kohls and Cheryl Simon; brothers, Don (Barbara) Williams and Gerald (Carol) Williams; grandchildren, Jennifer, Taylor and Michael Williams, Leighanne and Kasey Gill, Andrea Roberts, Steven, David, Jonathon, Daniel, and William Schlenske, Christine Leonard and Malachai Simon; twelve great-grandchildren; and his special companion, Blackie. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Steig; brothers, Bernard, Robert, George, and Carlton Williams; and his special companion, Smokey.A graveside service for Jake will be held Friday, January 30, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at Lake View Memorial Park.
