James A. Driessen Sr., 70, of Oshkosh died on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center, Oshkosh. He was born on November 21, 1943 to Arnold and Genevieve (Boser) Driessen of Appleton. James married Jenece (Schmick) on July 8, 1982 in Las Vegas, NV.Jim was a mill worker at the Morgan Door Co. until his retirement. He was president of the Carpenters and Joiners Union #1363. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping at Flanagans Pearl Lake with great friends, bear hunting with his son, and of course always cheering for the Green Bay Packers. Jim was a member of the K-B Club.Survivors include his wife, Jenece of Oshkosh; a son, James (Rae Lin) Driessen Jr. of Oshkosh and their daughter, Tiffani Driessen; daughters, Cindy (Kevin) Draws of Winneconne and her children, Desiree and Tyler Draws; Cynthia (Don) Lamson of Oshkosh and their children, Audrey and Hunter Lamson, Connie (Pat) Schoonover of Waukau and their children, Jennifer (Jon) Kautzer, Chad (Erin) Schoonover, and Julie Schoonover. They have 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Joan (Harry) Muench of Appleton and Mary (Roy) Schaefer of Kaukauna.James was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, William Driessen.Jim, we shared love, laughter and song. Well do it again when I come along. You left us too soon in your life. We love you so much, the kids and your wife.Family and friends may call at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with Steven Schmick giving a prayer at 3:00 p.m.
