James “Jim” A. Grundy, age 89, passed away at his home with his wife by his side, on July 25, 2021. Jim was born on August 31, 1931, to Harold and Alice (Arnold) Grundy. He married Rosalie Barden on August 27, 1979.
Jim worked as a machinist at Mercury Marine. He also owned a pizza joint called Louarti’s in Oshkosh.
Jim loved traveling and going to casinos with Rosalie, his wife. He also enjoyed bowling, playing golf, cards, and doing puzzles. Jim loved rooting for his favorite sports teams, the Brewers, and the Packers, and cursing the inept umpires and referees who were obviously fans of the other teams.
Jim is survived by his wife: Rosalie, three sons: Mike (Vicki) Grundy, Scott Grundy, and Glenn Parcival, one sister: Joanne Roth, four grandchildren: Nathan (Nadine) Grundy, Tyler (Allyson) Grundy, Jennifer (Muriel) Aranzaens, and Jeremy Grundy, and six great-grandchildren: Logan, Leah, Connor, Kayleigh, Carson, and Cooper.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church. A visitation will take place at church from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11 AM.
