James B. Huddleston, age 81 of Oshkosh passed away the morning of November 21st, 2020 in his home surrounded by family.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Huddleston (Stouck), children and their spouses Kathleen Henderson Essel (Robert Essel), Scott Huddleston (Barb Rooks), David Huddleston (Jacqueline Morvey Huddleston), Todd Huddleston (Lisa Maltry Huddleston), grandchildren, Carriebeth Henderson Ruzicka, Brandon Huddleston, Stephen Henderson, Allison Huddleston, Alec Huddleston, Emily Huddleston, Courtney Koepke Dudek and Kristi¬n Koepke. He had many great-grandchildren, whom he adored. Jim is also survived by his brother Robert Huddleston (Suzanne Moore Huddleston). Jim had a large family and was a loved husband, father, brother, brother in-law, uncle and cousin with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Jim was a patriot serving his country in the Airforce during the Cuban Missile Crisis and as a committeeman in Buffalo, NY. Jim was deeply involved in the computer industry from the beginning, when they were built using vacuum tubes, and worked at Motorola as the Manager of Corporate Information Technology where he retired in the late 90’s. He loved boating, fishing, cards and sports. He was particularly fond of the Green bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and the San Antonio Spurs.
He was a wonderful father teaching his children how to use a hammer, pitch a tent, camp, fish, water ski and worship God. His charming smile, strong and gentle hand and crystal blue eyes were the characteristics everyone who met him will remember. Jim was a counselor to those in need of guidance and his thoughtful advice helped many in challenging times.
A memorial service will be held for Jim. Please contact the family for details. The service will be limited due to Covid 19 procedures. Mask will be required.
A funeral will be held for Jim in the future and will be a private event.
