James Hood Iii

James G. Hood III (Aka “Moose”), age 62, passed away surrounded by his family at his residence on Wednesday, 9 November 2022. He was born to James Hood ll and Goldy Boyles on June 19, 1960, in Indianapolis, IN. Jim served his country in both the United States Army and the United States Marines. Jim married Teresa Grant on November 14, 1998, and they spent 24 wonderful years together. He spent his career as a truck driver or anything with wheels.

Jim loved to spend his free time working on models when it was cold outside and working on cars when it was nice out. Anyone that knew Jim knew that his family was his life, especially his grandkids, they were his pride and joy. Jim was also known for having a love for superheroes, his favorite being Batman. He would always tell everyone that it was because he was Batman. He was the type that would do anything to crack a joke to make someone smile. Jim was also the best listener when it came to venting, but Jim was also the type to tell you straight. Jim was a loving man who once you became close you were not considered friends you were considered family. Jim was a fighter through and through, he fought a long road of heart problems, but he never let it stop him or let it show to his loved ones.

Jim is survived by his wife, Teresa; mother, Goldy Hood; children, Jimmy Boyles, Phillip Radke (Brandie), Stacy Zamora (Lencho), Ashley (Danny Jr) Johnson, and Austin Hood; sister, Pat; as well as 11 grandchildren.
