James “Jack” J. Lang, age 85, of Oshkosh passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Evergreen. He was born on December 9, 1933 to the late Jacob and Dorothy (Laux) Lang. Jack served our country in the U.S. Marines. After his time in the military he married the love of his life, Shirley Madel and their marriage was blessed with two children.
Jack worked as a machinist at Rockwell and later retired at Boeing. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid Packers fan.
Jack will be deeply missed by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Lang; his children: Thomas (Lisa) Lang, Lori (Kevin Skenandore) Lang; grandchildren: Nathan and Noah Lang, Joseph and Karissa Baier.
He was preceded in death by his half sister Jenny.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Sacred Heart Church, 519 Knapp St. with Fr. Tom Long officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery with full military honors.
