Our beloved Jim passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 12, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born on May 29, 1962, to Ted and Marilyn Hart in Oshkosh, WI where he resided until moving to Two Rivers, WI then returned back to the Fox Valley and recently lived in Neenah, WI.
His family was his pride and joy. He married his wife, Pamela (Bondow), on May 5, 1990, in Two Rivers, WI. They have four beautiful children: Justun, Britni, Courtney and Samantha who he enjoyed watching grow into amazing young adults and having families of their own. Being a father and grandfather was his world, especially when everyone gathered for Sunday dinners, Christmas morning, Packer games and cookouts. He loved traveling with Pamela around the country and to Quebec/Montreal, Canada. Road trips meant quality time together away from the busyness of life. He felt blessed by every adventure, exploring God’s creation.
Jim’s life was dedicated to encouraging young people through the performing arts. He was passionate about teaching them self-confidence and responsibility. His motto was “It’s amazing what young people can do when given the opportunity!” He developed theatre programs at Two Rivers High School, St. Mary’s Central High School (Neenah), Valley Christian School (Oshkosh) and Winneconne School District. Jim and Pamela started a nonprofit theatre organization in 1992 known as Act 2 and Theatrix which later evolved into the current Jubricosa Arts Academy. Some of Jim’s most memorable moments included the Little Sandwich Theatre at the Mall (Valley Fair Mall, Appleton), 15 years of Jesus Christ Superstar (Grand Opera House, Oshkosh) and 10 years of The Witness at various local churches. Jim directed several community productions in the Fox Valley and also shared his incredible booming voice onstage where he met so many wonderful friends who quickly became family to him, Pamela and their children.
Jim will be dearly missed by his wife, Pamela, children Justun (Julie) Hart, Britni (Tom) Adams, Courtney (Tyler) Fredrickson, and Samantha (Paul) Raspel; grandchildren Olivia and Rosemary Hart, Anna, Lauren, Emmy and Jack Adams, Evangeline and Jude Fredrickson; sister Anna Hart, brothers Bob and Ted Hart; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Marilyn Hart, sister Letty, sister-in-law, Dawn, father and mother-in-law, Earl and Bernice Bondow.
Jim’s family would like to thank his amazing in-home nurses for their compassionate care; Theda Care At Home Wound Care, Respiratory and Hospice; his physician of 20 years, Dr. Eric Duwell; Aurora ER and ICU staff; Dr. Robert Geck and his pulmonology team; Dr. Ed Lake, Dr. David Koeper and Dr. Daniel Sturgill, nephrologists; Dr. Thomas Van Sistine, SCI/Physiatrist; DaVita Fox River Dialysis, Green Bay and Fresenius Kidney Care, Neenah; Gold Cross Ambulance and Neenah-Menasha Fire Station 31. Jim was truly blessed by the many hands who served to keep him at home with his family for the past 1-1/2 years, including his daughter, Britni, who spent endless hours scheduling and training nurses as well as giving him dialysis treatments.
His journey was challenging. He fought a good fight and kept the faith, enduring pain and suffering to stay with us for as long as God provided. He has been restored and is singing praises once again! “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
