James Roger Wilber “Bumpa”, age 54, passed away at UW Madison Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born on November 26, 1967, in Oshkosh to Roger and Darlene (Spiering) Wilber. Jim married the love of his life, Connie Kind, on March 28, 1987, in Oshkosh, WI. He spent his working career as a BMD assistant operator at Neenah Foundry. Jim was a jack of all trades; he loved fixing and tinkering with many things throughout the years. He loved 3 wheelers, snowmobiling, and working on his family farm as well as camping and being outdoors. Above all the things he loved, he loved his family most of all. Jim is survived by his loving wife Connie; children, Brooke (Dan) DeRoo, Keegan (Holly Carlson) Wilber, and Lacie (Cody) Marhefke; grandchildren, Peighton and Jennsen DeRoo, Mason and Briggs Wilber, Logan, Maverick, Leeanna Marhefke as well as one grandchild on the way. Jim is further survived by his mother, Darlene; sister, Lisa (Robert) Convery; mother-in-law, Nancy Kind; sisters-in-law, Tracy (Don) Matulle, Terri (Mark Brickham) Villwock; nieces and nephews, Matt Matulle, Amanda Laux, Jamie Oesterreich, and Kyle Villwock; as well as aunts, uncles and many cousins.Jim was preceded in death by his father, Roger; as well as his father-in-law, Eugene “Gene” Kind.A service for Jim will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 4PM. A visitation will be held from 2PM until the time of services. A burial will take place at Ellenwood Cemetery on January 31, 2022 at 10AM.The family would like to thank the staff at UW Madison and the Transplant Clinic for the care they provided to Jim as his family.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
