James R. Monasmith passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2012 at Eden Meadows in Oshkosh, WI. James was born on January 11, 1941 in Kerrville, Texas. He met the love of his life Jerri Carter on his birthday in 1963 and ten days later they were married and remained together for 49 years. They had three wonderful children together. James was an avid fisherman, golfer and bowler; and was excited when he achieved his perfect 300 game. He had spent time in the Navy and loved to coach little league. He had a very caring nature and funny personality and loved to make others laugh. He will be sadly missed and most remembered by his wife Jerri, his three brothers; Roger, Fred, and Ed and his sister Linda; his children; Jeff (Donna) Throop, James (Delia) Monasmith, and Julie (Tom) Adams, his grandchildren; Jeff, Tanya (Kyle), Bryan, Jeff, Courtney, Thomas (Jenna), Jonathon, James, Joanna, and Dylan, and also by several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, and his infant son. The family would like to thank Dr. Duffy and Kari Chapman as well as the staff at Eden Meadows for their kindness and compassion during Jims short stay.
