Jamisen Daniel Grundy, age 22, died unexpectedly October 22, 2024. Born on August 31, 2002 and raised in Oshkosh; Jamisen was a beloved son to Philip and Tuesday Grundy and a cherished baby brother to Marissa Kiefer and Brandyn Grundy.
Born into a lineage of six generations of farmers, Jamisen's love for the land was as deep as his commitment to his family and friends. He graduated from Oshkosh North High School, where he left a lasting impression on his classmates and teachers alike.
Jamisen, known for his adventurous spirit, spent time on the road as a Hotshot driver. He cherished the freedom of the open road and the joy of exploring new places. He had a zest for life that shone through in everything he did, from his love of working outdoors to his fascination with old trucks and antiques from World War II and Vietnam. Friends knew him as a good friend, always offering a quirky joke and unafraid to be himself. He had a generous spirit, willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone, in return only asking that they "pay it forward". He adored his numerous pets, and frequently brought home strays in need of love.
An avid lover of music, Jamisen enjoyed singing and karaoke, where his vibrant personality truly came to life. He looked forward to a future rooted in farming, with dreams of becoming a firefighter and first responder one day, eager to follow in the footsteps of his family's many endeavors.
Jamisen is survived by his loving parents, Philip and Tuesday Grundy; his sister, Marissa (Chris) Kiefer; his brother, Brandyn Grundy; and his beloved grandmother, Jennice Brearley. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Guy Philip and Mary Ann Grundy, Charlotte Grundy and David Brearley, as well as aunts Terri Morth, Mary Grundy, and Joan Tyson.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Town of Oshkosh First Responders, Gold Cross Ambulance, the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department, and the Fox Cities VCR team for their unwavering support during this difficult time.
