Jane Irene Holm

April 29, 1951 — August 9, 2017

Jane Holm, 66, of Oshkosh, died August 9, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center with her children at
her bedside.
An autumn remembrance will be planned for friends and family.
Jane was born April 29, 1951, in Oshkosh, to Robert and Irene Holm.
Jane lived her life in Oshkosh, graduating from West High School in 1969. She was a home-body by nature and never felt the pull of far-away places, instead devoting herself to the people and pets in her life. Friends and family from far and wide provided the remembrances that covered her walls like the pages of a scrapbook, and an annual delight was to host guests for the EAA Fly-in. Jane loved her children and grandchildren above all else and gave them everything that was important. She was an expert at offering unsolicited advice, usually when it was needed, and she served as a one-woman classified service for friends and family; always asking if you knew someone who could use a lawn mower or microwave.
Jane retired in 2008 after thirty years of working in Facilities Management at UWO and relished her freedom from a set schedule. While some friendships became hazy after retirement, she maintained her gift for easily loving others. Jane had the grace to accept people for who they were, would not dwell on those who caused her pain, and was always there to lend a hand. She was selfless and unassuming and she will be missed, but tonight heaven shines a little brighter.
Jane is survived by her son, Shawn (Sara) Kelly of Marquette,MI; daughter, Heather (Harold) Kinne of Coeymans, New York; six grandchildren, Rayne Bagbey and Chayse Bagbey, Harold Treyson Kinne, and Elizabeth, Jocelyn and Margaret Kelly; brothers, Thomas Holm of Berlin and William Holm of Oshkosh; a dog, and two cats.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Allen Holm.
Jane's family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center for maintaining Jane's
comfort and dignity those final days, and for many personal kindnesses.
Those seeking to honor the memory of Jane are welcome to donate to the Oshkosh Area
Humane Society, 1925 Shelter Ct, Oshkosh, Wl 54901.
