Jane Ruby Gabrilska

Jane R. Gabrilska age 78 of Oshkosh, died at Bella Vista on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. She was born in Neenah, on January 29, 1934, a daughter of the late Henry and Frieda Haldeman Lautenschlager. On October 24, 1957, Jane was married to Rae Earl Gabrilska in Omro. Rae preceded her in death on June 23, 2003. Jane was a graduate of Omro High School. Following high school she began a career in banking spanning more than 40 years, both full-time and part-time while raising three children, with First Wisconsin National Bank, Firstar and US Bank before retiring in 2000. Jane was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She truly enjoyed spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens, even enjoying the numerous rabbits and squirrels that may have had other ideas on what her gardens were for. Her grandchildren were all very special to her and she cherished every moment she was able to share with them. Following retirement she spent much of her time volunteering at Paine Art Center and the Oshkosh Senior Center. She was a member of Cook-Fuller Post #70 American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a daughter, Paula Dusick of St. Paul, MN; a son, Gene Gabrilska of Denver, CO; five grandchildren, Julie Beth Gabrilska, Meredith Gabrilska, Timothy Gabrilska, Heather Sikorski and Mitchell Sikorski; three brothers, Thomas Lautenschlager of Omro; Gerald Lautenschlager of Crivitz; Allen Lautenschlager of Oshkosh and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rae; one son, Gregg Gabrilska; a sister, Beverly Pringnitz, one brother in-law Lloyd Pringnitz and one sister in-law Donna Lautenschlager.Funeral services for Jane will be held at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Monday October 1, 2012 at 7:00 pm with the Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established.Janes family would like to thank the staff of Bella Vista and the Agnesian Healthcare Hospice care givers for all of the assistance and care they gave Jane.
