Janis Lynn Rost-White

Janis Lynn Rost-White, 54 of the Town of Oshkosh passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah, on February 23, 2012. She was born the daughter of the late Barbara and Kenneth Bender, on November 6th, 1957 in Oshkosh.A 1976 graduate of Oshkosh North High School, Jans greatest love was that of family and friends. Janis and Thomas White were joined in marriage on September 30, 2006. Besides working full time at Target, Jan was a wife to Tom and a mother to Andrew, Alex and Michael. In 2010, Jan and Tom adopted her granddaughter Lynn. This little girl is their pride and joy. While still working and raising her own family, she took on the duties of caretaker to her parents in their later years when they needed her most. She was there at a drop of a hat with never a complaint. This was her gift of Love to Mom & dad. Mom and Dad preceded her in death in 2008. She now joins both of them in the arms of the Lord.Janis is survived by her husband Tom, sons Andrew (Fiance Nikki), Alex and Michael and her special daughter, Lynn, all of Oshkosh. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas (Rebecca) Bender of Bennett, NC and Steven (Sandra) Bender of Wautoma; aunts, uncles and nephews, as well as many friends Jan held close as family.Funeral services will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Monday February 27, 2012 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Ed Riddick officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 1:30 PM to the time of service. Entombment will be at Lake View Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Rawhide Boys Ranch.The family would like to thank Gold Cross first responders, as well as the nurses and doctors in ICU at Theda Clark for their loving care of Jan.Jan, it is so hard to put your life into a few words, as I do not believe you know just how many hearts you have touched, and lives you have made better by this time you have been here. Forever you were and will be always the peace maker and friend.
