Jean N. Rasmussen

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Jean Nancy Rasmussen passed away on October 22nd at her home in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Jean was born August 14th, 1938, the daughter of the late Conrad and Dorothy Weitz of Oshkosh. Sixteen short years later, Jean married her high school and life-long sweetheart Noel Rasmussen on February 12th, 1955. Together Jean and Noel started a family, raising four sons: Larry Rasmussen of Winneconne, Randy (Debbie) Rasmussen of Oshkosh, Vince (Lynne) Rasmussen of Oshkosh, and Alex (Michele) Rasmussen of Florence, South Carolina.

Beloved as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Jean will be missed by the many lives she touched throughout her years. She had a warm and unselfish nature that was revered by many and matched by few. She had an enduring faith in the Lord and an undying commitment to her family. A self-proclaimed “homebody”, Jean also loved the home she and Noel shared over fifty years. She especially loved curating her rock garden and spending numerous hours with family on her backyard swing.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Noel, her son Vince, her sister Joyce Brown and her brothers Harry, Jerry, and Donny Weitz.

She is survived by her sister Sally (Gerry) Grall, her sons Larry, Randy (Debbie), and Alex (Michele), nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service for Jean will be held at noon on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave). a time of visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service. A private burial will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
