Jean Ruth Weber

Jean R. Weber, 84, of Oshkosh died Tuesday May 7, 2013, at Eden Meadows. She was born March 4, 1929 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Henry and Ruth (Dougherty) Hoffman. She married Richard Weber on May 17, 1952 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2008.Jean had worked at Universal Foundry for 37 years. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church where she was a former money counter, in the mailing group and quilting group. She enjoyed finding good recipes and cooking for family and friends. She also enjoyed watching baseball, golf, football, and tennis on TV.Jean is survived by a brother James (Elizabeth Betsy) Hoffman of Oshkosh; nieces and nephews, Chris (Jeff) Korth of Grinnell, IA, Cathie Hoffman of Oshkosh, Jeff (Angie) Hoffman of Appleton, Paul (Jane) Weber of Madison, and Mary (Don) Weber of Monona, WI; four great-nephews, Justin Korth, Eric Korth, Alex Hoffman, and Westin Hoffman; and numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, LaVerne Zweiger and JoAnne Webber.A funeral service for Jean will be held Monday May 13, 2013, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at First English Lutheran Church, Revs. Tim Greenwald and Marty Ruge officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial is being established in memory of Jean.Jeans family would like to thank Dr. Karen Gremminger and her staff, Mercy Medical Center staff especially 1st and 5th floor, and Eden Meadows staff for all the wonderful help and care received.
