Jean R. Ziolkowski, age 80 of Menasha, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. She was born in Oshkosh on May 16, 1944 to the late John C. and Ruth (Rubbert) Kroll.
Jean dedicated her life to her work as a beautician and later found joy in creating books at Banta Corporation.
Jean’s love for mother nature, specifically animals, should have been reason for her nickname to be “Snow White” of Menasha. She adored the feathered and furry friends in her neighborhood, ensuring they were always well-fed and cared for, especially the birds who flocked to her backyard.
In addition to her love for animals, Jean had a passion for painting and golfing, finding solace and joy in these creative pursuits throughout her life. Her artistic talents and love for the game of golf brought a unique vibrancy to her days.
Jean is lovingly survived by her children, Jay (Debbie) Miller and Kerri (Scott) Goodale; grandchildren, Alex and Cody Miller; brother, John “Jack” (Lana) Kroll; nephews, John “Johnny” (Angie) Kroll and Michael “Mike” (Laura) Kroll.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Ziolkowski.
A funeral service for Jean will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Jon Kuske officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Private interment will be held at Lake View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
Jean’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Compassus Hospice, especially Nicole. Thank you for all of the assistance and compassionate care provided to Jean.
