Jeanne C Kostmerchock

May 22, 1934 — August 1, 2019

My mother, Jeanne Clair Kostmerchock (nee Procknow), passed away on August 1, 2019 after a long, hard battle with her health conditions, and went into the enchanting light of God. She was born on May 22, 1934, daughter of the late Roy and Dorothy Procknow. Growing up she attended Oshkosh schools. Upon high school graduation she married and became a homemaker for many years. She was employed in various administrative assistant positions with Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company, Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh Public School Systems, and Lutheran Homes of Oshkosh. Prior to her retirement at age 65, she was employed for 20 years with a law firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and obtained her Paralegal Degree during that time. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with family and pursuing the many crafts she enjoyed.
My mother was one of the strongest women I know. The unquestioning love we had for each other will stay with me forever. The beautiful memories I have of the things we did throughout her life can never be taken away. The special things we shared growing up were making homemade candles and attending ceramic classes. The mouse ears she made for me to wear in a school play will never be forgotten. She also took me and the neighborhood girls swimming at South Park. We enjoyed going snowmobiling. When I decided to play an instrument, mom drove me to all of my guitar, piano and various other horn instrument lessons I took; none of which I can play but was thankful to have been able to try. I will never forget my mom braiding my hair every night when I was a senior in high school. I would remove them once they were dry in the morning so I would look like a rock star. A piece of my heart is now missing. My mom is no longer here to hug me and kiss me. The advice I could always count on is gone. I could talk to my mom about anything and everything, she was a best friend, I love her and miss her tremendously and that will never stop. I do find some comfort believing in God and in my heart I know that we will be reunited someday. I hope wherever she is she can see how much I miss her, and always will.
Survivors include I her daughter, Robin J. Blythe (Daniel), Pickett, Wisconsin; brother, Randall (Kay) Procknow, Omro, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Carol Procknow, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death were her brothers, David (Nancy) and Steve Procknow; and former husband Charles Kostmerchock.
Per her request, a private inurnment was held at Lake View Memorial Park.
Thank you mom, there never could have been a better mother than you. I would like to thank my family and friends from the bottom of my heart for getting me through this difficult time. It is truly appreciated more than anyone can imagine. A special thanks goes to my husband, Dan. I could not make it through this without him. I would also like to thank my cousin, Jason Procknow. He has helped me with anything I needed; he and my mother were very close.
Mom, I miss you more than anyone can know.
Love always, from wherever you are, your daughter, Robin.
