Jeffery Lynn Oppermann

Jeffery Lynn, N9OSB, Big Guy, Weedhopper, Uncle, Brother and friend was called to heaven with his girls by his side on Saturday June 24th, 2017.

Jeff was born to Sidney and Louise (Pommerening) Oppermann on December 1st, 1956. Much of Jeff's childhood years were spent enjoying time with family at the cabin on Wood Lake and helping around the family homestead on County Road E. He held jobs at Green Giant, Arrowhead Conveyor, and worked many years as an owner-operator hauling everything from livestock to pencils. If it had wheels, Jeff could drive it, if it was broke, Jeff could fix it.

In 1982, Jeff received the "handle" he was most proud of...DAD. With the birth of his first daughter Dawn Marie, Suzann Louise in 1985, Kelly Ann Lynn in 1989 and the embracement of Robyn in 2000.,

Jeff was and avid CB and Amateur Radio Operator, storm spotter, 4-H dad, tractor pulling builder, horse holding, race car fan. Most days you could find Jeff sitting on the glider on the front porch of his home on Nebraska Street in Oshkosh. If he wasn't there, he could be found in the garage, helping someone fix something, working on a project, or cleaning and picking up tools. 35 years that garage shared in his love for cars, trucks, lawn mowers, and all things mechanical.

Jeff is and will forever be missed by his daughters, Dawn (Jason) Oppermann, Suzann (Jerry) Oppermann, Kelly Ann (Jay) Gabryshak and Robyn (Kevin) Konrad. Along with his beloved girlfriend Mary Danour and Grandson Frederick Jeffery Konrad. Furthermore, brothers Darrell (Darlene) Oppermann, Sidney (Lisa) Oppermann, II and sister Linda Friedauer. Many nieces and nephews and close friends Al Sens, Gary Ruedinger and Randy Nelson. Preceding him in death are his parents, Sidney and Louise, brother Lynn "Butch" Oppermann, Brother in law Joseph Friedauer nephew William Oppermann and 4 angel grand-babies.

Memorial services for Jeff will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home – Westside (100 Lake Pointe Drive). Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to the service time.

The family of Jeff would like to extend a special Thank you to the ER and 2nd floor staff of Mercy Medical Center along with Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center. All of your care was not only amazing to Jeff but to us as well. We will forever be grateful.
