Jeremy L Portmann

Jeremy Portmann, 47, of Oshkosh died at home Sunday, December 23, 2018, following a heroic three-year battle with neuroendocrine cancer. Born August 28, 1971 in Neenah, he was the son of Jackie Marta and Richard Portmann. Jeremy married Lisa Stockwell on July 26, 2008, and in so doing gained a son, DJ Stockwell. Jeremy worked for I-CAR in Appleton as an Instructional Designer. He enjoyed traveling with Lisa, power-lifting, jammin' his tunes, and caring for his three cats, Sissy-Coo, Jerry Thumbs, and Mooshi-Moo.

Jeremy is survived and will be deeply missed by his best friend and wife, Lisa, son, DJ, mother, Jackie Marta-Griswold, step-father, Gary Griswold of Waupaca, sister, Jennifer Miller, nephew, Sam Miller and niece, Maddie Miller of Menasha. Jeremy will also be deeply missed by numerous aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers. Lisa is comforted knowing that Jeremy is being reunited with his father, Richard Portmann, numerous grandparents from both their families, including her Grandma and Grandpa Rechek, and his beloved cats Butterball and Willard. Jeremy will also be meeting his mother-in-law Pat (Recheck) Stockwell.

Jeremy's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to I-CAR for the continued support they showed him and his family throughout his illness, as well as a special thank you to the doctors and staff at Froedtert Cancer Center in Milwaukee for their care and compassion.

A memorial service will be held to honor Jeremy at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home at 100 Lake Pointe Drive in Oshkosh on Saturday, December 29, 2018, with visitation from 10am to noon. A service, officiated by Rev. Tim Greenwald, will begin at noon. A reception with lunch will be held immediately following at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has established memorials in Jeremy's name at the Oshkosh YMCA and the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.
