Jerold E. Hinz, age 75, of Oshkosh passed away at his residence on Monday March 3, 2025. He was born on January 10, 1950 in Milwaukee a son of Frank and Marilouise Sigler Hinz. On September 16, 1972 he married Edith Beauchamp in Milwaukee.
Jerold proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for many years as a door inspector at Morgan Doors later known as Jeld Wen. He enjoyed watching football, professional wrestling, his kids and grandkids sporting events and musical events, going to casinos, spending time at Retros Pub with family and friends. For 20 years he was the chief union stewart with the local 1363 UAW.
He is survived by his wife, Edith; four sons, Jeremy (Brittany) Hinz, Rick (Connie) Beauchamp, Mike (Carrie) Portz, Tom (Tracy) Portz; one daughter, Dani Beauchamp; 12 grandchildren, Nicholas Hinz, Emilee Hinz, Kekoa Hogue, Cody Portz, Kyle Portz, Mason Portz, Brianna Wallace, Hunter McGeary, Paylin McGeary, Regina Koos, Serenity Koos, Katine Beauchamp; four great-grandchildren; and his brother, Charles (Darlene) Hinz.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jason; his parents; his brother, Larry Hinz; and two sisters, Lois Lederhaus, and Merry Hinz.
A funeral service for Jerold will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave, Oshkosh. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery where military honors will be performed.
A memorial has been established.
