Jerrold John Martin Muza

Jerrold J.M. Muza, 69 of Oshkosh, died Wednesday July 18, 2007 at the Alterra Sterling House. He was born in Oshkosh on September 28, 1937 the son of Martin and Margarete Grusnick Muza. He married Sharon Lange on January 21, 1956 and they had five children.Jerry retired in 1981 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer after serving 26 years in the U.S. Navy. He had many interests in life only some of which included traveling, hunting, fishing, sailing and iceboating, gardening, and cooking. He currently was a member of the U.S. Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association and Former Retired Active (FRA). He was also an active member of the South Side Ice Yacht Club, often participating in sailboat and iceboat racing. He is survived by his children, Jay (Sharon) Muza and Jerry (Melissa) Muza both of Florida, Joreen (Robert) Lutzow, Jamie (Anne) Muza, and Joni Martin all of Oshkosh, grandchildren, Aaron and Jared Day of Florida, Jordan Martin, Arika Muza, Alyssa Muza, Taylor Martin, Andrew Muza, and Steele Lutzow all of Oshkosh, four great grandchildren, sisters, Germaine (John) Farmer and Leanora Mohr both of Oshkosh, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and good friend, Lynda Maus of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald Fugleberg, a sister, Betty Sagmeister, nephew Scott Sagmeister, niece Jody Redemann, and brothers/in/law, Ralph Mohr and Richard Sagmeister, and sister/in/law, Joan Fugelberg.Jerrolds funeral will be Saturday July 21, 2007 at Noon at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ [1306 Michigan Street] with the Rev. R. David Gaskill officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
