Joan E. Seager, 76, Oshkosh, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Park View Health Center. Joan was born September 4, 1939, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Roland and Florence (Heron) Helsinger. As a young woman, Joan enjoyed riding horses. When her family began she stayed home with her three boys and paid particular attention to their needs. Joan was an excellent cook, cooking all things from scratch. She loved gardening and canning, and was an extremely crafty woman, making dolls and clothing, and decorating cakes. Joan loved her family and enjoyed the time spent with them. She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, Oshkosh.Joan is survived by her sons: Joseph (special friend Dana), John (Olga), and Jeff (Michele) Seager; grandchildren: Jimmy, Jesse (Nikki), Jenny, Joey, Ilya, Zak, Ksenya, Kailynn, Abigayle, Sofia, and Seth; multiple great grandchildren; a sister, Anna Marie Cookie Schneider; a sister-in-law, Mary Helsinger; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joyce (Ronald) Meyers; a brother, Charles Helsinger; a brother-in-law, Robert Schneider.A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2016, at Most Blessed Sacrament-St. Marys site, 605 Merritt Avenue, Oshkosh, with Fr. Jim Jugenheimer officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass. Joans family would like to express a sincere thank you to the entire staff of Park View Health Center for their loving compassion and kindness throughout the years.
