Joan M. Gratton

Joan M. Gratton, age 91, of Oshkosh, died on Tuesday February 23, 2022 at The Residence Inn.  She was the daughter of Erwin and Anita (Koeske)Rivers born on October 12, 1930.   

Joan was a wife, mother and homemaker.  She loved taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren.  They were all the light of her life.  In addition to her family she loved her cats.   

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alvin Gratton.  She was the dearly loved mother of Ken(Cheryl) Gratton, Steve(Sue) Gratton, Jeff(Rade) Gratton, Kathleen Smock, Pat(Katie) Gratton, and the dear grandmother to Paul, Tracy, Dan, Stacy, Scott, Kelly, Andrew, Carrie, Kurt, Madeline, and Alex, and numerous great-grandchildren.  

She is survived by other relatives and friends and her cat Simba.   

She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers Lester Rivers, Robert Rivers, James Rivers, Jack Rivers, and  sisters Betty Young, Merilyn Forrest, Dottie Jacobs, and Elaine Young and her grandson Andrew Smock.   

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Flowers at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow the service.  

A memorial will be established to the Oshkosh Humane Society.
