Joan Marie Abraham

Joan M. Abraham 76, of Oshkosh passed away at Mercy Medical Center with her family surrounding her, on Saturday, April 18, 2009. She was born in Oshkosh, on May 11, 1932, a daughter of the late Ray A. and Alice M. Strong Tulledge. Joan married Earl Abraham in Oshkosh on August 25, 1951. Earl preceded her in death on February 25, 1992.Joan was employed with the J.J. Keller Company. Previously she was employed as comptroller at Canteen Corp. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist congregation in Oshkosh. She was very active in her church, serving as treasurer, board member, reader, taught Sunday school and was the reading room librarian. She was a member of Oriental Chapter #16 Order of Eastern Star, the Noble Ladies and the national Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE).Survivors include three sons, Bruce (Dawn) Abraham, Oshkosh; Terry (Sandy) Abraham, Oshkosh; Keith (Debbie) Abraham, Marquette, MI; two daughters, Charlene (Robert) Toro, Clarksville, TN; Beth Westphal, Oshkosh; one brother, C. Dean (Ruth) Tulledge, Pine Island, MN; 12 grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah and Eric Abraham; Heather and Jennifer Abraham; Amanda, Kimberly and Karrie Abraham; Joshua and Iliana Toro; Lindsey and Luke Westphal; two step grandchildren, Jeff (Jamie) Herzig, Oshkosh and Julie (David) Sommerfeldt, Oshkosh; and one sister-in-law Nancy Tulledge, Dayton, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Tommy Abraham, died at birth; one brother, Robert Tulledge, one granddaughter Danielle Westphal, died at birth; her father and mother-in-law, Robert and Clara Abraham; and her brother and sister-in-law, Norman and June Abraham.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside at 12:30 PM with Ashley Siewert and Kim Ott as readers. Family and friends may call at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Hom-Westside on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 11:30 Am to the time of the service. Inurnment will be at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
