Jodi Marie Laes

Jodi Marie Laes, 58, Town of Winneconne, passed away unexpectedly at her home Monday, February 22, 2016. She was born April 18, 1957, in Milwaukee, daughter of Donald Sr. and Mary (Michalski) Laes. Jodi grew up in Milwaukee, and after graduating high school started working for Hoffmaster Paper Company, formerly Scott Paper. She moved to Oshkosh when the company relocated to continue working for them. In June of 2004 Jodi married Richard Mancl, after being his companion for 20 years, and he preceded her in death in June 2005. Jodi enjoyed anything with fur and feathers! She loved caring for her pets and those of her neighbors. She also deeply cherished spending time on the lake, in the garden and coaching the Packers from her couch. She volunteered at the Winneconne Food Pantry for several years after her retirement in 2006.Jodi is survived by her daughter, Mary Bergant; a grandson, Fisher; a sister, Donna (Danny) Krueger; a brother, James Laes; father- and mother-in-law: Ken and Evie Nettesheim; niece and nephew: Matthew (Shannon) Krueger and Rebecca (Josh) Molnar; great nieces and nephews: Matty and Brett Krueger, and Chloe, Corbin, and Pearl Molnar; first husband, Daniel (Nancy Morris) Bergant; a special friend, Pat Gulbrandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a special friend, Brenda Stone.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside (402 Waugoo Avenue). Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. Sunday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society would be appreciated.
