John F Sphatt

John F. Sphatt, 87, of Sun Lakes, AZ, formerly of Stoughton and Oshkosh died on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Chandler Regional Hospital. John was born on May 6, 1918, in Oshkosh a son of John E. and Vera M. (Woller) Sphatt. John had been employed for 30 years by the First National Bank of Stoughton, retiring as Bank President. He was a member of Gideons International for 65 years, the VFW and the Lions Club. John had been a member of the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church in Sun Lakes, AZ.Survivors include his wife, Florence (Gillig) of Sun Lakes, AZ; two daughters, Sandra (George) Ochs of Bridgeport, CT, Penny (Dave) Simms of Cape Coral, FL; one son, John (Melissa) Sphatt of Centennial, CO; one sister, Charlotte Jenks of Buena Park, CA; five grandchildren, Adam Ochs, Danielle Presby, John Ochs, Hannah Sphatt, Jacob Sphatt; numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Sphatt.Funeral services for John will be on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Lake View Memorial Park Chapel with the Rev. Mark Klaisner officiating. Family and friends may call at the chapel from 1:00 pm until the service time with entombment to follow.
