John Henry Brewer

February 10, 1929 — February 19, 2018

John H. Brewer, age 89, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018, at The Bridges of Appleton with his daughters by his side. He was born on February 10, 1929 in Stevens Point to James and Addie (Finnemore) Brewer. He married Norma J. Schumann on June 16, 1951 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.
John worked at Marshall’s as a mechanic, was the owner/ operator and mechanic of John’s Auto Services and after retiring from there worked at Leach Company.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He loved baking, cooking and above all else spending time with his family.
John is survived by his daughters: Bonnie (Dennis) Kluba and Mary (Joe) Farmer; grandchildren: Rachelle Demski, Sherri Bartow and Jessica (Michael) Heintz; great grandchildren: Westen Heintz, Jacob Demski, Kynthia Bartow, Kayla Becker and Cody Becker; sister: Mildred Boye; brother: Barry Brewer; and special niece: Leta (Ron) Grahn.
He was preceded in death by parents; wife; sister: Jennette Oestreich; and brothers: Lawrence, Edward, Richard, George, Donnie and Jake.
A funeral service for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Eastside with Chaplain Matt Cornelius officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at The Bridges of Appleton and to Chaplin Matt Cornelius and Nurse Jed Berndt for their care and compassion they gave to John.
