John Paul Piencikowski

John P. Piencikowski, 66, of Oshkosh, died on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at his home. John was born in Marinette, WI on November 30, 1946 a son of the late Anthony J. and Martha T. (Johnson) Piencikowski. John married Nancy Schneider on June 18, 1970 in Menominee, MI. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2009. John then married Barbara Egbert on August 13, 2010 in Oshkosh. John was a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, was a graduate of Coleman High School and retired as the owner of 6th Street Auto Body. He was a loving husband, avid deer hunter and loved traveling. He was an accomplished horticulturalist. Many people enjoyed his gardens and house plants. John was raised on a farm near Pound, WI and moved to Oshkosh in 1966. He worked as a welder at Oshkosh Corporation before purchasing 6th Street Auto Body and working there for many years. Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Oshkosh; a step son, Michael (Kris) Egbert of Oshkosh; a step daughter, Heidi (David) Sweet of Oshkosh; his brothers, Anthony (Sandy) Piencikowski of Marenisco, MI, Mark (Joy) Piencikowski of Pound, WI; sisters, Catherine (Don) Coolidge of Kenosha, WI, Ann Piencikowski of Marinette, WI; step grand children, Edward Sweet, Alex Egbert, Dale Sweet, David Joseph Sweet and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services for John will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the St Raphael Catholic Church (830 S Westhaven Drive Oshkosh) with the Rev. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to the time of the service. Burial will be at St. Leo Cemetery in Pound, WI. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, to the local Relay for Life would be appreciated. Johns family would like to say than you to the staffs of Mercy Medical Center and the Affinity Visiting Nurses Association.
