John Richard Geen

John Jack R. Geen, age 84, of Oshkosh, died Friday September 21, 2012 at Parkview Health Center. He was born on November 3, 1927 in Ironwood, Michigan a son of John and Ruth Hoskins Geen. On October 9, 1948 he married Athlene Penny Moran in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on January 27, 2002.He was a charter member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, had worked at George A. Whiting Paper for 45 years and loved woodworking.He is survived by his daughter Jane(Matt) Richardson of Oshkosh, three brothers Al(Millie) Geen of Appleton, Ray(Virginia) Geen of Madison, Reg(Linda) Geen of Manitowoc, a sister-in-law Janice Geen of Oshkosh, numerous nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends.He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother Jim Geen, and one sister Ruth Jelliffe.Funeral services for Jack will be held on Saturday September 29, 2012 at noon at St. Andrews Lutheran Church with Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to St. Andrews Lutheran ChurchThe Richardson family would like to thank the staff at Parkview Health Center for all their tender loving care they provided to Jack.
