John Lucas, 46, of Oshkosh, WI formerly of Amarillo, TX passed away unexpectedly at Ascension NE Wisconsin Mercy hospital on January 29th, 2018. John was born on December 29th, 1971 in Amarillo, TX to Jeannie and the late Roger Lucas. John captured your heart with his passion toward life and adventure. He was a devoted veteran of the Navy and a real patriot. An intelligent and witty man, he would take any opportunity to teach and guide others. His great sense of humor and charm would guide you through the best stories. From hiking and fishing, traveling and exploring, he knew there was always more in life and was relentless in his pursuit of learning. A giant has been lost. John is survived by wife Billie Lucas of Oshkosh, WI; daughter Jenna and son-in-law John LaFlash of Kenosha, WI; daughter Rebecca Lucas of Wausau, WI; sister Wendy and brother-in-law Brad Harrison of Amarillo, TX; nephews Todd and Tristan Bittick of Amarillo, TX and Levi Harrison of Amarillo, TX; nieces Lexi Harrison and Emily Harrison of Amarillo, TX; stepson Michael and daughter-in-law Krysta Vazquez of Janesville, WI; grandchildren Kolton and Fiona Vazquez of Janesville, WI. In addition, he was preceded in death by grandfather Billy Mac Pittman of Amarillo, TX. Family and friends will be received from 1:00pm Thursday until the hour of the memorial service at 3:00pm at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home 100 Lake Pointe Drive Oshkosh, WI 54904. For family and friends in Texas, the services will be live streamed at Oasis Southwest Baptist Church, 8201 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate monetary assistance to help with medical and funeral costs.
