Joseph J. Kaufman, 79, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday October 26, 2005 at Bethel Home. He was born Oct. 2, 1926 in Manitowoc a son of Joseph and Louise Geisler Kaufman. On Oct. 18, 1947 he married Donna Perkins in Manitowoc.He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in WWII, a member of Algoma Blvd United Methodist Church, a charter member of Post 99 AmVets in Manitowoc, a member of Elks Club 292 in Oshkosh. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting, sports, and was a season ticket holder of the Green Bay Packers for 40 years.He is survived by his wife Donna, two sons Peter(Ruth) Kaufman of Oshkosh, Joe(Connie) Kaufman of Omro, one daughter Jean(Dale) Eichman of Burlington, one brother George(Irene) Kaufman of Manitowoc, one sister Alice Sanderson of Manitowoc, grandchildren Nicole, Chris, Paul(Krissy), Erin(Joseph), Ryan(Kelly), Kirk, Misty, Michelle, Clarence, and three great-grandchildren Kale, Wren, Kristy.He was preceded in death by one brother Robert, and one brother-in-law Norman Sanderson.A memorial service will be held on Monday Oct. 31, 2005 at 3 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-East. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service. Military honors will be held at the funeral home.A memorial has been established.The family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Home and Gail and Tenille at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
