Josephine Elizabeth Mathe

Josephine E. Mathe, 95, of Oshkosh, died Monday April 12, 2010 at Park View Health Center. She was born on August 8, 1914 a daughter of Herman and Anna Dahedl Stadler. She married Alois Mathe on August 9, 1938 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1997.Josephine was a member of St. Jude the Apostle-Sacred Heart site. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family.She is survived by her sons Norman (Barbara) of Kansas, Russell (Jane) of Oshkosh, Dennis of Florida, and Gary (Janice) of Oshkosh, 13 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a special niece Alice. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Eugene, her siblings Louis, Theodore, Herman, John, Frank, Joe Jr., Richard, Margaret, Katherine, Grace, Rose and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 15, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial to the American Cancer Society is being established.The Mathe family would like to thank the staff at Park View Health Center for their care of Josephine.
