Joyce D. Daum, 84, of Oshkosh passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Bella Vista in Oshkosh. She was born on September 10, 1932 in Wautoma, WI, daughter of the late Thorvald and Amy (Cordes) Rose.
Joyce graduated from Wautoma High School, then attended and graduated from Oshkosh Business College. During this time she met her future husband, Donald. They were married on September 12, 1953. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2016.
Joyce worked in several business offices including Miles Kimball for many years. She was an active member of Redeemer and Trinity Lutheran Churches, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and played the organ. Joyce also sang with the Oshkosh Choraliers.
She is survived by her son, Joel (Lori); stepson, David; daughter-in-law, Cyndi Regan; sister, Esther (Ralph) Neyhard; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; daughter, Jane; and brother, Gordon Rose.
A memorial service for Joyce will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Kelly Leary officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 am until the time of the service.
Joyce’s son, Joel, would like to extend a sincere thank you to the second floor staff at Bella Vista and her hospice caregivers for the care and compassion they provided.
