Joyce H. Carrick

Joyce H. Carrick age 63, of Oshkosh died on Friday April 6, 2012 at Bethel Home. Joyce was born in Minneapolis, MN a daughter of the late Forrest and Harriet Hanson Wright. Joyce married Steven Carrick on October 4, 1969 in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1987. Joyce was engaged to Ivan Craig Jr. at the time of her passing.Joyce had been employed at Old Orchard Candle Company, had been a secretary at Our Savior Lutheran Church and was a City of Oshkosh poll worker for a number of years. Joyce was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, the Joy Circle at church, Oshkosh Ladies Elks Club, and the International Association of Jim Beam Bottle Collectors Club. She is survived by her fianc, Ivan Craig Jr. of Oshkosh; one daughter, Julie Trams of Neenah; two sons, Christopher (friend Kim Stephan) Carrick of Oshkosh; Joshua (Amy) Carrick of Oshkosh; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Trams of Neenah; two brothers, David (Linda) Wright of Racine, Brad (Laurie) Wright of Minneapolis, MN; one sister, Betty (Chuck) Hughes of Bloomington, MN; step-father, Alan Davidson of Hastings, MN; several nieces, nephews, numerous family and friends; and her feline companion Kraut. Joyce was preceded in death in death by her parents, daughter, Jennifer Carrick, son-in-law, Jonathan Trams and brother, Leslie Wright.Memorial services will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church (1860 Wisconsin St.) on Thursday April 12, 2012 at 7:00 PM with Rev. Michael Hackbarth officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 2:00 PM to the time of the memorial service. A second memorial service will be held in the chapel at Bethel Home on Friday April 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.The family thanks the nursing staff at Bethel Home and the nurses and Doctors at Aurora Medical Center for their care and compassion given to Joyce.
