Joyce L. Peterson

Joyce L. Peterson, 88, of Oshkosh died Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation. She was born March 26, 1925 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late John and Olga Johnson. She married Lester Peterson on Sept. 24, 1949 in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2005.Joyce was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Women of Zion. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.Joyce is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Mayer of Lakewood, WI, Ellen Peterson of Oshkosh, and Barbara (Tim) Edmonds of Chicora, PA; four grandsons, Jeremy Mayer of Schaumburg, IL, Troy Edmonds, Andrew Edmonds, and Alex Edmonds all of Chicora, PA; two sisters-in-law, Maryann Fitzpatrick of Port Washington and Arlene Peterson of Florida; and several nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, Jonathan Mayer; brothers-in-law, Ken Peterson and Harold Fitzpatrick; and a nephew.Private family services were held with Rev. Jeff Knoll officiating. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.Joyces family sends a special thanks to the staff at Northpoint Medical & Rehab for all the wonderful care and help that was given.
